BMW unveils its reimagined 2024 middleweight GS lineup—the F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, and F 800 GS. These replace the outgoing F 850 and F 750 models, bearing significant upgrades.

At their core lies an overhauled 895cc parallel-twin, up from 853cc. With 105 hp and 68.6 lb-ft torque for the 900s (the “800” dials output back to 87 hp), this liquid-cooled mill features double overhead cams and balance shafts. Gracing all is a new 6.5″ TFT display and full LED illumination.

Weight reduction is a core focus, the F 900 GS slashing 31 lbs via a plastic fuel tank, redesigned rear, and rethought exhaust. Ergonomics optimize the off-road stance with lower pegs, higher bars, and a reshaped tank. An adjustable shift lever and optimized rear brake aid hill ascents.

Tech abounds with standard ABS Pro, selectable ride modes, and available keyless ignition and emergency call. The “Pro” package adds engine drag control and dynamic braking. A full Akrapovič exhaust is available.

The GS Adventure variant gains a premium Showa fork, dynamic ESA electronic suspension, aluminum bash plate, and heated grips. Handsome LED headlights grace all models.

Pricing starts at $10,495 for the F 800 GS; the F 900 GS is tagged at $13,495, and the F 900 GS Adventure at $14,195. US deliveries are slated for Q2 2024. For adventurous riders, BMW’s revamped GS trio promises bold capability with Euro-styled sophistication.
