LG has announced the global launch of the world’s first 4K 120-Hz wireless AV-controlled OLED TV. Although not completely wireless—it still needs to be plugged into a power outlet—the Signature OLED M television screen eliminates the need for additional cables by allowing media sources to be connected through a separate Zero Connect Box. The latter enables wireless transmission at 4K UHD resolution and 120-Hz refresh rate from up to 33 feet away. The Zero Connect Box supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, providing high-quality audio and video. LG claims that its AV transmission technology is three times faster than Wi-Fi 6E.
The 97-inch model is expected to be available later this month in the US for $29,999. The smaller 87-inch OLED evo M model is priced at $7,999, while the 77-inch OLED evo M model is tagged at $4,999.
