Sylvester Stallone Asking $22.5M for Hidden Hills Compound

Sylvester Stallone’s 2014-built, East Coast-inspired contemporary in Hidden Hills is up for sale as 2022 draws to a close. The actor, writer and director listed the nearly fairy-tale property on the open market with an asking price of $22.5 million. He acquired the estate earlier this year, paying $18.2 million for the keys.

The house features a shingled exterior and a host of regionally suggestive details that recall the Cape or the Hamptons, with a rooftop cupola the most conspicuous. Inside, the residence develops in accordance with contemporary tastes, eschewing ornament in favor of surface texture and understated finishes. Fleetwood doors open the 10,500 square-footer grandly to its 2.26 acres of grounds, which are designed with aplomb; throughout the grounds and across the exteriors of the structures creeping vines, gardens, lawns, a pool with pool house, a koi pond, outdoor benches, studio guest houses, and stables can be spotted.

A genuine turnkey Hidden Hills lifestyle property, then. Additional amenities include a gym, loggia, and riding arena.

Stallone’s other real estate adventures of late include the acquisition of a splendidly and slyly anachronistic Florida waterfront house, and the sale of his longtime home in Beverly Hills. The latter estate — a 3.5-acre compound anchored by a 20,000 sq. ft. mansion — went to Adele last winter in exchange for $58 million, and closed after about a year on the market. The former is a Palm Beach spot that came with a $35.4 million price tag.

Stallone’s upcoming projects include Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, with Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Debicki, Sean Gunn, and Maria Bakalova, and The Expendables 4, with Jason Statham, 50 Cent, Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Andy García.
