Back in 2020, the news from Travis Scott was his solo purchase — to the tune of nearly $25 million — of a lavish, 16,700 sq. ft. hilltop trophy overlooking Los Angeles. The closing was conspicuous in its absence of recent ex Kylie Jenner in the proceedings.
That was before this summer, when the couple’s wedding registry became must-experience web content, even though no wedding followed. However, despite their unmarried status (and apparently only speculatively a couple), Jenner and Scott still own real estate collectively. One SoCal property owned by the presently disparate members of the not-quite-wed duo is a recent addition to the Los Angeles market, where it landed recently with a $21.9 million thud.
The 9,680 sq. ft. monolithic modern-inspired mansion is a ponderous affair; the exterior of the property’s main house and combination guest house and garage are finished in what appears to be stucco, adding a bit of texture to an otherwise boxy and imposing exterior. The interiors are fashionably dramatic by virtue of an abundance of black paint and a sometimes daring approach to fixture selection; the eventide treatment includes the kitchen, where the resident island and considerable bank of cabinets are both given a shadowy shade of low-gloss.
The master is a beaut, with a glass wall that can be spirited away for a more immediate communing with the Los Angeles night, and a step-up private living area with a linear fireplace lodged in a wall of weathered brick. The formal dining room and family room also open to the property exterior, where a full-width set of lighted steps descends to a pool area with a sun deck and BBQ bar.
