Generally speaking, German tuner Novitec likes Ferraris, and the firm’s designers have a knack for finding the hidden potential in a Prancing Horse without resorting to histrionics. The company’s take on the Portofino, SF90 Stradale, and perhaps most particularly the Roma, have been case studies in how to tune without crushing a carefully designed exotic’s native beauty in conspicuous consumption.

Novitec’s chops extend to other brands, of course, and McLaren, Rolls and even Tesla have been covered by the company’s designers. Maserati, too, has been tackled; initially the brand’s Levante got the Novitec treatment, and late this summer the tuner announced a package for the MC20 supercar.

The Maserati MC20 was unveiled in production form in 2020. A $210,000 piece of hardware, it is outfitted with a 621-horsepower V6 biturbo; Novitec squeezes another ninety horsepower out of the model by way of a more open Inconel exhaust system with TECTRONIC and NOVITRONIC support modules. The fully modified MC20 is shod with forged Vossen wheels developed for Novitec, with 21-inch rear and 20-inch front.

Sport springs and a full spread of carbon fiber aero components — including a fairly subtle ducktail — also complement the Novitec-tuned MC20.
