TV industry writer, producer and director Jeff Franklin — the creator of hit television series Full House — has added a Beverly Hills house of his own to the list of Los Angeles-area trophy opportunities. The idealized Richard Landry-designed villa is available for a reduced $59.995 million. The house is back to close out the summer of 2022 after a stint on the rental market at $295K per month.

The price movement follows an unsuccessful bid to sell the place. Back in January, Franklin hefted the sprawling manse onto the open market with an asking price of $85 million.

The house is the second Richard Landry-designed residence Franklin has owned. The first, titled the Collingwood House, left his portfolio in the last quarter of 2016 when he accepted an offer of $20.2 million to pass it on. A contemporary design reaching for progressive, that house’s architecture calls on modern and industrial inspirations, and contains breathtaking evocations of space.

Franklin’s present Landry is a broadly literate Mediterranean in the Post Office neighborhood. The residence sports a façade that culminates in a Palladian dome, a beautiful flourish that marks the house as singular and significant. Details emerging from a tour of the 21,000 sq. ft. estate include an arcade with a groin-vaulted ceiling, stone floors, custom-milled hardwood, custom tilework and arches in the Andalusian style, and balconies and terraces with very fine city views. Amenities include a game room, fitness room and spa, theater, and resort-like pool with grotto.

Meanwhile, in the Southeast corner of the country, Franklin has another property on the market. The vacant lot in the Venetian Islands is priced at $26.5 million.
