The Delray Beach, Florida, estate King of Queens star Kevin James picked up in early 2021 is back with a more attractive proposition.
The writer and actor initially put the three-level oceanfront mansion up for sale in May of this year, roughly eighteen months after buying it. At the time, he was hoping for $20 million; no buyer materialized at that price point. The recent relist at $17.95 million may do the trick.
The six-bedroom, nine-bath home’s interiors span 11,502 sq. ft. It’s a fair amount of house with a splendid indoor/outdoor living style that culminates in a ground-level exterior living area with a T-shaped beach-entry swimming pool. Balconies and terraces front and back also distinguish the build; the terraces are contained in a beach-side rotunda section of the house.
With two distinct sections bridged by a terrace upper/loggia lower connector, the mansion has a heavyweight’s footprint. Its interiors, on the other hand, can be quite casual and intimate by virtue of the Caribbean Colonial design inspiration which is present in an abstracted form.
Creature comforts come thick and fast, and include a game room, a poolside BBQ bar, a two-island kitchen, a garden-level semi-rotunda dayroom, and a master suite with a private balcony accessible from both bedroom and bath. And a private footpath traverses the dunes to the water’s edge.
