German tuning firm and Merc expert Brabus took a somewhat different approach to refining the Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 sedan. One of the more essential areas of improvement concerns the model’s range: Brabus’ treatment gives EQS drivers an additional 7% in highway distance traveled before needing to plug in.

Brabus focused on aerodynamics to find the hidden miles. The refinements begin with a newly installed ECU module that drops the chassis. Brabus’ componentry bread-and-butter — gloss-finished carbon fiber bits and pieces that look flashy and bump up a car’s performance profile — are also part of the mix, and the EQS 450 receives new spoilers and rear diffuser to improve its greasiness.

The firm’s Monoblock Z alloy wheels in gloss black finish are also part of the equation, in 20-inch sizes and up, with the design modified to recess them more deeply into the wells. The car’s interiors can be optioned with color-changing LEDs and new pedals.
