L.A. Lakers star-turned-free agent Carmelo Anthony is taking another shot at selling his Manhattan mid-rise residence.

In 2020, the ten-time NBA All-Star attempted to find a buyer for the 4,562 sq. ft. condo — one of just fifteen in a boutique building overlooking the Hudson River — but had no luck at $12.9 million. Off the market it went; a revision followed, and the unit is back for the summer of 2002 tagged at $12.5 million.

Located in a 2014-built condominium building in the heart of the Chelsea neighborhood, the full-floor unit contains five bedrooms and four baths. The residence shows changes throughout, and overall the effect is a general brightening and contemporizing.

The floor-to-ceiling banks of stained hardwood cabinetry in the kitchen have been replaced by bright white, while the master has traded a soft grey ceiling for white, lost a rather intrusive light fixture in favor of a more discreet design, and gained a slatted hardwood accent.

The building’s essentials, of course, remain constant. Lots of steel-framed glass, and a fine sense of space that includes a nearly connected larger living room and great room that are interrupted by a pair of guest rooms — or spaces with purposes TBD — overlooking the High Line.
