Rupert Murdoch has secured at least one major real estate acquisition in the United States in the past year: a ranch in Montana on 340,000 acres, the one-time working ranch of the Koch family. Located in Beaverhead County, the property is situated near Yellowstone, and required Murdoch to shake loose of $200 million.

Meanwhile, Murdoch has been trying to sell his mansion in the sky in New York. The Manhattan property, which occupies space on the top three floors of the One Madison building in the Flatiron neighborhood, reached the open market early this spring priced at $62 million; a full-floor penthouse below it was listed simultaneously, and priced at $16 million. The triplex is back as spring transitions to summer with a price chop. It is now tagged at $58 million.

With 6,850 sq. ft. of interiors and 586 sq. ft. of terrace space, the residence is one of the more substantial high-rise units in the city. Its entry level contains its most compelling space — a cathedral-like great room with an astonishing sense of scale driven home by the soaring banks of two-story glass that open it to the upper floors of some of Manhattan’s more iconic skyscraping presences. Sequestered in the back of the level is a library, and the floor also contains a kitchen.

The other levels contain the bedrooms—the primary is on the third level, and features a large dressing room. The terrace is accessible from the north and east walls of the first floor.

Murdoch and family have a net worth around $17 billion, per Forbes.
