Retired racetrack legend Nigel Mansell is the new owner of a late-80s 5,296 sq. ft. Hamptons-style in the Tampa, Florida, area. Mansell, a noted golf enthusiast, closed on the Belleview Island property for $5.3 million.
The waterfront house is located in a gated community, where it is one of just 31 residences. A five-bedroom, five-bath house of two levels, it was completed in 1989. Its façade hints at symmetry before shattering it with an off-center gable and the placement of a host of ornamental windows.
The home sits on a .9-acre lot, and features a pool, as well as a dock with a pair of boat lifts for access to the Intracoastal Waterway and beyond. Most importantly for Mansell, the Belleair Country Club is just a chip away.
