Late in 2020, Italian coachbuilder Aznom introduced a new model for the supertruck niche: the Palladium. The custom ride, built on the platform of a RAM 1500, squeezed 700 horsepower out of its 5.7L V8 engine. Its exterior design shows off elements of limousine and pickup, with a fastback rear gradient and a back end cleverly hiding a luggage drawer.

The Palladium is back, in revised form, for the 2022 production year. In the intervening period, Aznom has been busy designing a single, extra-powerful example of the model. The exterior of the supertruck looks much the same in the case of the one-off. However, the story’s a bit different under the hood.

Produced as a special order for a customer with an eye for a much bigger engine, the singular example is outfitted with a 6.4L hemi V8. That brings the Palladium’s horsepower rating to 850; the truck also gains 74 pound-feet of torque for a rating of 774. It can reach a top speed of 155 MPH. And, when efficiency is preferred to raw power, cylinders can be placed in abeyance.

Although the custom built also includes a series of bespoke components — including a special head gasket — the rest of the Palladium remains stock, from the snub nose to fastback rear. And it appears that Aznom may still have build slots available for the Palladium. It’ll cost $1.5 million to find one waiting in your motor court.
