$15 million off the top leaves the Los Angeles trophy estate of casino billionaire Steve Wynn with an asking price of $100 million on the nose. That’s probably a bit more realistic, and reflects the wisdom that about two years on the open market can bring to the table. The home began its run in 2020 with an asking price of $135 million.
The custom-built home has an interesting history. It was built for Guess honcho Maurice Marciano, and to some degree its layout suggests a contemporary West Coast palace with a youthful, entertaining-oriented spirit; the architecture incorporates multiple outdoor living areas on the upper floor, including a large second-floor terrace, and a master suite veranda which rises another half-level off the ground.
The 27,150 sq. ft. of interiors have been customized to taste by Wynn, and occasionally come across as hotel/casino-esque, with glitzy chandeliers, LED backlit ceilings, and brassy carpeting. Amenities in the home are stunning, and include a large screening room, a larger gym, an owner’s suite with an office, and a massage room. The estate’s 2.69 acres provide ample space for a sunken tennis court, pool, walking paths, guest house, and the singular lawn that helps define it.
Wynn’s net worth is north of $3 billion.
