After about two years on and off the market, the New Jersey coastal home of actor Joe Pesci has found a new owner.
Pesci put the waterfront house up for sale in November of 2019 with a $6.5 million asking price. According to public records, the asking price never changed; but the house closed at $5 million when the deal was settled in the early days of this month.
The 7,219 square-footer is located in Lavallette. A 1990 vintage, its exterior architecture is heavily influenced by Streamline Moderne designs, and it sports extensive terrace space that gives it the feel of a Golden Age liner. The roof features a barrel-shaped portal that stretches from the front of the house to the back; it lights up the two-level foyer and the upper-level living area.
The streamline influence extends to the interiors as well, with extravagant curves and semi-circular flourishes throughout the shared and private living spaces; the capper is the sculpted circular staircase that is the centerpiece of the home. Among the home’s amenities: a game room, an office, and an entertainment pavilion with a dedicated catering kitchen.
