Cadillac recently announced that the Escalade model will join the model list receiving V- Series accoutrements. The trim level option will be available to buyers of the best-selling Cadillac for the 2023 model year.
The V-Series badge will put a performance spin on the Escalade, a legendarily heavy and ungainly beast which, before the 2021 model year, was better suited to ramming than cornering. The V-Series feature set should give the three-ton sport utility vehicle some performance licks to make the most of its newfound agility; the scuttlebutt is that the CT5-V’s 6.2-liter V8 will be included in the iteration.
Among the features of the V-Series trim level to the Escalade: a sonorous enhanced exhaust sound and, of course, the significant power boost of the performance suite. Cadillac isn’t saying much more than that until this spring, when the V-Series Escalade will be formally introduced in detail. Sporty exterior touches, however, give some indication of what is to come.
