Model, businesswoman, and media personality Tyra Banks, an avid real estate wheeler-and-dealer, listed her 2014-built modern in Pacific Palisades last month with an asking price of $7.895 million. The glassy 6,160 sq. ft. residence was on the open market mere weeks before going to a new owner; it closed in the final days of the year, and for its asking price.

The fived-bedroom home’s interior living spaces are distributed across three levels. Highlights of the shared spaces include the kitchen, which features counter-to-ceiling subway tile and floating plank shelves, and the rooftop deck, which is outfitted with a fire feature and a spa and offers very fine views of the city and ocean. The property also features a media room, an office, a master with a private balcony, and a backyard pool area.

Although her recent acquisitions include a Malibu beach house, Banks’ stomping ground is generally Pac Pal. She’s bought and sold several homes in the beachside city, including a bluff-location 1950s build that she passed on to a new owner in the high summer of 2018 in exchange for $8.9 million, and a slick little modern she let go about two months later for $4 million.
