The very 1990s manor of retired Dallas Cowboys player Emmitt Smith has closed. The 10,806 sq. ft. home in the DFW area was priced at $2.2 million when it appeared on the open market in the early autumn of this year. It changed hands at the end of November; as of writing, no closing figure had been recorded.

The estate occupies .93 acres in the Addison community of Carlton Snyder Winnwood. The house is a fully-realized mansion that begins with a towering porte-cochere. Its interiors emphasize space above all, but can be atmospheric or downright engaging by turns; the staircase shows an unusual degree of craftsmanship, and it’s quite beautiful to boot.

Amenities come thick and fast in this house, of course. Topping the list indoors is a dining room that can accommodate 22, as well as a theater with tiered seating, a game room, and a massive master — one of two in the home — with a steam room. Outside, a relaxed living style emerges, with a covered dining area and a pool.
