Airbus Corporate Jets hired on a specialist to design a one-off TwoTwenty cabin: artist Cyril Kongo. Kongo—known as ‘Mr. Colorful’ in the art world—was commissioned to essentially transform the plane’s main lounge into an airborne gallery.

ACJ sees the project as a perfect accompaniment and enhancement of the luxurious comfort, space and tech features of the plane. Mr. Colorful’s contributions to the plane’s lounge include custom-designed fabrics and hand-painted flourishes, and contrasts monochrome expanses with blasts of vivid color.

ACJ is using the plane as a halo for the TwoTwenty, a business jet that features an extra-wide fuselage that results in 785 sq. ft. of floor space. The aircraft has a range of 5,650 nautical miles. Airbus has partnered with Comlux for the first 15 examples of the model.
