Fresh from their purchase of a Manhattan penthouse — a 7,241 sq. ft. property that required a $42.5 million outlay — model Karlie Kloss and investor Joshua Kushner have listed a unit on a lower floor of the same building. The boutique condo is situated in a prime spot in Nolita.
The couple have been buying and selling in the upscale downtown neighborhood. In late 2013, they picked up a 1,821 sq. ft. property at 211 Elizabeth for $4.5million; they hung onto it for six years, and listed it in the late winter of 2019 with an asking price of $6.995 million. In the high summer of that year, they passed it on to a new owner in exchange for $6.6 million.
The building the duo is currently calling at least a part-time home is just a few blocks away from the building they bought and sold in during the last decade. The unit they’re currently marketing is a 5,672 sq. ft. duplex containing four bedrooms and seven baths.
The residence was designed by interiors firm For Reference. The design style capitalizes on the nearly 150-year-old building’s original details, adding very refined touches that bridge the centuries. Scalloped brick ceilings throughout voice the building’s — and neighborhood’s — history, while a monolithic postmodern fireplace, sculptural, craftsman-like staircase and pale plank hardwood keep things up-to-date.
Kloss and Kushner’s other real estate acquisitions of late include a waterfront estate in Miami Beach. The couple purchased that property during the holiday season last year, spending $21.5 million.
