A piece of comedian and actress Rosie O’Donnell’s multi-residence New York estate sold this spring after several years on and off the market, bringing to a close a selling journey that started almost four years ago.
The home was one of five in a cluster that had been assembled by O’Donnell into a compound over the course of nearly two decades. The whole thing had been offered for sale in late 2017 for $11 million, but has sold piecemeal, with the largest of the residences—a Dutch Colonial waterfront which she purchased in 2002 for less than $3 million—selling for $5.1 million in early 2018.
The most recent sale concerns a 1918-built cottage that measures 2,193 sq. ft. The waterfront property closed at $1.363 million; it had been priced at a little less than $2 million when it initially hit the market. Public records indicate O’Donnell paid $2.2 million for it in the spring of 2003.
