Television personality and host Amanda Kloots is the new owner of this modest, secluded Laurel Canyon fantasy. According to public records, the co-host of CBS cup of talk show The Talk paid $2 million on the nosey for the two-and-two, which measures in at a little under 2,000 sq. ft.
The cozy traditional carries the spirit of a Laurel Canyon bungalow, but with more space. It was completed in 1937, and features a red brick walk, white brick exterior, dormer windows, and a passel of exuberant vines on the gated privacy wall and house exterior that are determined to give the place charm to burn.
Revisions have opened up the shared living space nicely. Highlights of the first level include a graceful curving staircase, and a small, sunlight room that opens via French doors to the brick patio. The kitchen, too, opens broadly to the patio; a sunny and youthful space, it is finished with a cooktop island with open shelving beneath.
