The double-waterfront Florida estate of golf legend Greg Norman is new to the open market this week. The eight-acre compound titled Tranquility is located on the Treasure Coast, with Hobe Sound on one side, and the beaches of the Atlantic Coast of the state on the other. It is priced at $59.9 million.

With water fore and aft, a long, leisurely drive, and a living style that emphasizes relaxation—it features 172 feet of oceanfront, 370 feet on the ICW, and a deep water dock supporting vessels up to 150 feet—the Jupiter Island estate is an ideal retreat. With ten bedrooms and thirteen baths in all across seven structures, it is also ideal for family or corporate ownership.

Norman had the estate heavily customized, and the design sensibility is very warm but uncluttered, with long lines and a compartmental feel that perhaps suggests Pacific Islands architectural sensibilities. The overall style is tough to peg. There’s a great deal of glossy hardwood about, and design elements borrowed from Caribbean and modern styles, amongst others.

Amenities include at least two full bars on the compound—one is the heart of an indoor lounge—as well as a pair of swimming pools, a U.S. Open tennis court, a covered entertainment pavilion, a wine cellar, a theater, a gym, and an elevator. But the most compelling amenity may be the location, and its 8.31 acres of carefully engineered laid-back Florida outdoor lifestyle.

Norman has won 89 professional tournaments, including Open Championships in 1986 and 1993. He spent 331 weeks at the top of the rankings in the 1980s and 1990s.
