This 1994-built gem in Beverly Hills is being offered for sale by film producer Jack Rapke. Rapke—whose credits include Cast Away and Allied—has owned the property for about fifteen years, according to public records. The home is currently listed at $13.5 million.

The house was designed by William Hefner, and features an imposing concrete exterior that belies what develops inside: an intensely warm and open living style that brings the best of modern design sensibilities into play. There’s a fair amount of hardwood to soften up the concrete and angularity—plank floors finished in a darker shade, built-in cabinets and shelving, trim and window and door frames, and floor-to-ceiling custom cabinetry in the kitchen—as well as a glass wall overlooking the city.

The hilltop location makes the house something of an aerie, with nest-like views offering a Los Angeles panorama; the effect from the master suite is rather stunning. The lot measures a little more than a half-acre, with an L-shaped infinity pool as the centerpiece of the outdoor living area.

Rapke’s most recent producing credits include Witches, starring Anne Hathaway. His upcoming projects include BIOS, starring Tom Hanks.
