As this past summer transitioned into autumn, comedienne Kathy Griffin put her 13,000 sq. ft. villa in Bel-Air up for sale with a $16 million asking price. The property didn’t linger on the market, though, and about two months later sold for $14 million.
The home’s interiors are warm and inviting, with plentiful dark wood, French doors, and casement windows among the details. The kitchen and family room features a large wine display storage room, and a small wet bar sets an entertainment-ready living style. Retractable glass walls, fireplaces, and glossy tile and hardwood plank floors are a few other design elements at work here.
The home’s other amenities include a master suite—which includes a spa bath with a large, step-up soaking tub, and which opens to a private, 1,100 sq. ft. balcony—and a screening room. Views from the .66-acre lot emphasize the private location, with the pool, pool house and pavilion positioned to take in the local hills.
Griffin wrote and starred in Kathy Griffin: A Hell Of A Story, which is currently available on Amazon Prime.
