The Marin County residence of seminal comedian and actor Robin Williams has sold for $5.3 million after a nearly yearlong run on the open market. The house first hit the market in November of last year with a $7.3 million ask; a price cut in the summer of this year left the price at $5.995 million.

The 6,517 square-footer sits on a waterfront lot in Tiburon, and overlooks San Francisco Bay. The layout is single-level, so the home’s footprint is considerable, and the interiors have a rambling, easygoing feel. Notable spaces include the master bedroom—one of six in the hose—which extends into the outdoor living area in the rear of the home, and opens onto the lengthy stone terrace.

Details include custom hardwood cabinetry, a series of sliding glass doors that accumulate into an indoor/outdoor living style suited to the location, built-in shelving, and oak paneling and a marble fireplace in the office.

Williams, a Marin County native, purchased the home in 2008. He also owned an estate in Napa Valley, which sold in 2016 for $18.1 million. The Academy Award winner passed away in 2014.
