To usher the 2021 X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition variants more definitively into the marketplace—and raise exposure for them, too—BMW is offering First Edition production examples of both.
As is generally the case with First Edition sub-variants, the changes to the X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition for their respective 250-example production runs are purely cosmetic.
On the exterior of the performance crossovers, BMW is offering a choice between Individual Frozen Marina Bay Blue and Individual Frozen Dark Silver. A host of glossy carbon-fiber accents and components are used to flesh out the look, with the special M-grade engine compartment and rear spoiler the most conspicuous of them. Buyers who order one of these M Competition crossovers will also receive M-grade alloy rims in gloss black, in a 21” front and 22” black configuration.
The cabins of these First Editions will be outfitted a daring color scheme, with a two-tone foundation of Midnight Blue and Silverstone upholstery enhanced by the softness of black Alcantara and a bright dash of Sakhir Orange stitching. Carbon fiber accents, M badging and edition embroidery round out the look of the interiors.
