The newest functional sport wristwear item from Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille is characteristically technical in appearance. It’s the latest in Mille’s successful RM 011 line, and it’s called the RM 11-05 Automatic Flyback Chronograph GMT.

The case of the RM 11-05 Automatic Flyback Chronograph GMT is made from cermet, a super-tough hybrid material that combines ceramic and metal, and was originally designed for jet engine design applications. Cermet doesn’t corrode, and it can be exposed to brutally high temperatures and retain its structural integrity. It should weather the job of watch case material very well, then.

Matching the technical appeal of the case material is the skeletonized view of the GTM complication. And the watch features a power reserve of 55 hours, chronograph excluded.

Only 140 examples of the RM 11-05 Automatic Flyback Chronograph GMT are planned for production. The watch is priced at $215K.
