Retired NBA shooting guard Allan Houston has put his estate in New York up for sale. The former Knicks player—he put in nine seasons with the team—is asking $19.5 million for the property, a 10-acre chunk of Westchester County that is crowned with a Chateau-style house of very nearly 20,000 square feet.
The exterior of this house is possessed of many Chateau-esque design elements, including a hipped roof, a rusticated stone exterior, a turret, and casement windows. A fair amount of busy ivy gives it a nice sense of substance.
Of the home’s 26 rooms, seven are bedrooms and twelve are baths. The shared living spaces feature semi-gloss oak floors, and progress in a fairly open layout to the dining room, which offers egress to the outdoor living area by way of a set of French doors.
Amenities on this estate make for a long list. Inside, a music room, a home cinema, a lounge and games room with a wet bar, a four-room master with a spa bath, and an indoor basketball court top the list; outside, a pool and spa, golf green, and conservatory are featured.
