With his Robert A.M. Stern-designed mansion in the New Jersey still for sale at an undisclosed price, Jon Bon Jovi has sold a property on the other end of the Eastern United States. This month, the musician’s five-bedroom, six-bath house in Palm Beach sold for $19.8 million.

The home appeared on the open market in May of this year, with an asking price of $22.9 million. According to public records, Bon Jovi purchased the property in 2010, for a flat ten mil. He had the home built this year, but may have decided on a larger home in the area; the rock legend reportedly purchased an estate in the same neighborhood for around $50 million.

The house extends to just over 5,000 square feet. Its exterior is a mix of modern and Mediterranean villa-inspired architectural elements, with little in the way of traditional Mediterranean Revival ornament. The interiors put a modern spin on the beachy Floridian style, with details including the great room ceiling, which is finished in herringbone-pattern bleached hardwood.

Highlights of the interiors can be summed up in views of the exterior, though, in the end; the home’s indoor lifestyle takes its cues from the waterfront location. Amenities include an elevator and a library with floor-to-ceiling built-ins. The home is outfitted with a generator for hurricane season.

Outside, a loggia is the main draw, with a goodly sized swimming pool not far behind. An outdoor staircase, a grille station, and palm-dotted, groomed landscaping are other features of the.36-acre property.

Bon Jovi’s eponymous band has sold more than 130 million albums and has rocked more than 34 million concertgoers.
