The custom-built Las Vegas home of comic actor Jerry Lewis surfaced on the open market once again this summer, this time with a $1.3 million asking price.

The 7,325 square-foot brick house sold in May of 2018 for $1.2 million, and was listed by its current owner a little less than a year later, for $1.6 million. In March of last year its price reached its high point of $1.8 million. Lewis lived in the home for nearly four decades; it was his main residence until his death in the summer of 2017.

The mixed architectural is situated inside the Scotch 80s community, and contains six bedrooms and six baths. Flashy details of the era include an unusual centerpiece: an open fireplace in an accent wall ornamented with petrified wood.

There’s a great deal of mid-toned glossy hardwood as well—balustrade divider, staircase—as well as stone tile floors, walls covered in mirrored panels, and the occasional crystal chandelier. The second floor features a wide-open transition space with four-sided galleries that survey the first floor.

Outside living spaces include the master terrace—a protected space accessible via sliding glass—and a pool and patio area with a waterfall feature.

Lewis was one half of comedy duo Martin & Lewis, the other half being Dean Martin. As an actor, Lewis starred in The Nutty Professor, and Martin Scorcese’s The King of Comedy. He was an accomplished singer as well. He was, at one, time, the highest paid talent in Hollywood.
