Halsey sold her Los Angeles contemporary earlier this month, grossing $2.375 million. The singer and songwriter picked up the home in 2017, according to public records, for $2.23 million.

The 1990-built home, interestingly, is as chilly, disruptive and mathematical as Halsey’s first record. Embellishments come in the form of jagged and offset angles, corners that would give a feng shui decorator a nervous condition, and massive, stone-like outcroppings. Polished concrete floors, black and beige trim, and glitzy light fixtures also contribute to the living style.

But the peculiar residence also finds liberation in unlikely places, and the great room rises to a distant ceiling in a gesture of defiant, youthful optimism. A bit of interior green also helps give the 2,500 square-footer a well-rounded, however adventurous, spirit.

The property exterior isn’t expansive, but it’s exceedingly private, quite green, and compellingly relaxed. Aside from the jagged shard of concrete that juts out into the swimming pool, it looks quite relaxing.

Halsey’s 2017 album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom topped the Billboard 200. Two other albums, 2015’s Badlands, and 2020’s Manic, reached the number two position.
