Automotive company Czinger was founded by CEO Kevin Czinger last year, but the company is making very good time; here it is early 2020, and they’re already muscling into the exotic car market with their blandly named 21C model. It, too, makes good time. And it’s far from bland.

The car—which was revealed this month ahead of its debut at next month’s Geneva exposition— is powered by an incredibly efficient biturbo V8 engine. The powerplant only displaces 2.88 liters, but it pumps out over 900 horsepower, and it redlines at 11,000 RPM. And, it is assisted by a pair of electric motors, one for each front wheel. The kinetic aggregate can deliver up to 1233 horsepower.

As you might’ve guessed, the car’s curb weight is very low—around 2,700 pounds. Kevin Czinger designed the Blade, a supercar built by industry manufacturing wizard Divergent Technologies, and the Blade’s aluminum alloy body material may well be making another appearance in the 21C—but that is surmise at this point. Carbon fiber is plentifully present, as well.

Czinger claims that the 21C can do the all-important 0-60 dash in 1.9 seconds, and can beat the Koeniggsegg Regera’s record of 31.49 seconds at the 0-249-0 MPH. The car’s top speed, Czinger tells us, is 268 MPH. At present, the numbers haven’t been substantiated, but Czinger did design the Blade, which came very close to the two-second mark. We’ll know more after Czinger formally debuts the 21C at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show.
