Filmmaker and Purdue Pharma heiress Madeleine Sackler picked up this Spanish eclectic in Los Angeles right before the high holidays.

The house dates to 1939, and it’s a beaut if you appreciate the nook-and-cranny romance of the style. Its exterior architecture is eccentric and complex, with stucco walls, a pleasing variety of window styles, a tile roof, and a third-floor terrace. The entrance is invitingly mysterious, a vine-covered enclosed design with a lantern sconce.
