Lamborghini sped into the New Year with a RWD version of the Huracán Evo. And it looks like a 4-wheeled vacation as surely as it promises the most scintillating form of leisure to the purist who ponies up the $200K for a ticket.

It’s lighter than the AWD version of the model, so Lamborghini backed off the horsepower, but not much; the no-turbo 5.2L V10 still delivers up to 610 HP, and 413 lb-ft of torque, and that’s still a boost from its immediate RWD progenitor, the RWD Huracán that entered production midway through the last decade.

More interesting is the updated proprietary traction control, what the Lamborghini faithful know as ‘Performance Traction Control System’; the P-TCS has been tweaked for more accuracy, making the series of auto adjustments that occur throughout the car every second more fluid. This translates to better cornering, and a more sensitive track mode for amateur drivers.

Performance figures are right in line with the AWD Huracán Evo; the RWD version forfeits a negligible bit of pavement in an out-and-out streak to 62—less than half a second—but makes up for it with drift potential. And, like its sibling, the RWD Huracán’s top speed is 203 MPH.
