Jermaine O’Neal, unable to sell his Texas spread, has decided to send the ol’ ranch to the auction block. Mr. O’Neal listed the home about sixteen months ago for $11 million, according to public records. The property was relisted this month for $11.5 million in advance of a no reserve auction in December.
The 2012-built mansion in Southlake boasts a whopper of a footprint, and nearly 16,500 square feet to fill it. Eight bedrooms and eleven baths are among its living spaces, along with a long list of recreation and entertainment-oriented spaces, including a games room with a wet bar, a 2-lane bowling alley, a home theater with tiered seating, and a full indoor basketball court.
The home begins with an arched double-door entryway, which open to a grandiose two-story foyer with an impressive floating staircase. Soaring arches and a massive chandelier emphasize scale, but at its heart this is a warm home. The kitchen is formal but very amenable, with hardwood accents setting off the granite countertops and more than enough room to accommodate the caterer.
The acreage is also sizeable: nearly five acres in all, with an extensive outdoor living area with a summer kitchen, a fireplace, and a huge swimming pool with a waterslide.
Six-time NBA All-Star O’Neal’s career included stints with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Boston Celtics, but spent much of his career playing for the Indiana Pacers.
