Two-Time World Series Champion Aaron Rowand Seeking $6.5M for Las Vegas Manse

Retired MLB center fielder Adam Rowand relisted his Las Vegas home on the open market this month. The stubborn fellow has, according to public records, had the home on and off the market for about five years. In that time, the price has not diminished a cent. In fact, it’s increased by $100K—it now asks $6.5 million.

At 10,948 square feet, this home on the western outskirts of Las Vegas has interior space to spare. The lot has room for an extravagant exterior recreation space—including a large, curving pool and spa, with grille cabana—but little else.

The home’s living spaces cover a lot of bases, though. The home features moody interiors with grey tones, ebony-finished hardwood, and many a chandelier. An ornate French-style fireplace in the living room, mullioned panels, and a kitchen with a strangely opulent window seat/dayroom are details which help define the interiors. It’s all quite ornate, and somewhat peculiarly Victorian; ‘Life with Father’ directed by Crichton, not Curtiz.

The list of amenities is extensive. A retractable glass wall makes best use of the climate, a games room satisfies recreational whims; a wet bar and extensive climate-controlled wine storage handles entertainment requirements.

Rowand began his decade-long professional career with the White Sox, and ended it with the Giants. He retired in 2011.
