hitmaker Halsey recently hit a high note with the purchase of a Los Angeles-area modern; the songstress picked up the place for $2.4 million, and it boasts a huge amount of midcentury charm.

The sensitively restored Sherman Oaks residence spans 2,226 square feet. The home was designed by Richard Dorman and constructed in 1959, and offers many period details, including terrazzo, exposed steel, and tongue-and-groove ceilings.

Blending classic mid-century architecture with modern accents, the four-bedroom post-and-beam house features a classically modern sense of space in the common area. The light and airy room boasts beamed ceilings, a large stone fireplace, and an entire wall of glass doors showing off the lush backyard. The galley-style kitchen stays true to mid-century styling; updates include custom walnut cabinetry and top-of-the-line appliances.

Further inside, the master suite stands out with minimalist mid-century styling and sliding glass doors opening to a lush lawn and a swimming pool.

“Without Me” singer and odds-beater Halsey is currently at work on a third album.
