Educator and entrepreneur Lynda Weinman has listed her Hollywood Hills home for $21.995 million.
Unfortunately for the Lynda.com founder, the asking price of the Los Angeles-area residence is about $5 million below what she and her husband Bruce Heavin paid for the expansive property back in 2016. The L.A. luxury market has slowed quite a bit, and many are playing the wait-and-reduce game.
The stagnant market, of course, has no bearing on the quality of the residence. The three-level mansion is a big, flashy contemporary, and boasts many a high-end amenity and luxe feature. Classic terrazzo floors, a cohesive suite of contemporary fixtures, and plenty of floor-to-ceiling glass top the list of interior dazzle.
The home boasts several formal and casual living spaces, but most potential buyers will probably identify the heart as the spacious living room, where a wet bar and walls of retractable glass panels provide entertainment possibilities and attendant interior/exterior flow. The kitchen’s a standout, too, with an impossibly huge black marble waterfall island anchoring the catering-ready space.
Outside, an outdoor kitchen, a lawn, and an infinity edge swimming pool with a spa offer unparalleled views of the city and ocean beyond.
