German watchmaker Glashütte‘s Original Senator Chronometer Tourbillon stood out among the upper-tier horological offerings at Swatch Group’s Time to Move roadshow event. The watch’s dial artfully combines a classic watch face as well as the mechanical complexities of a revealed works.
Glashütte’s design is unique in that only half of the face is skeletonized. The top half of the face is more traditional in style, while the intricate mechanical elements are on display on the second half. The chronometer is certified by the DIN 8319, and boasts a 42mm platinum case, a flying tourbillon and a rich deep blue sub-dial.
The Original Senator Chronometer Tourbillon’s 58-05 caliber hand-wound movement boasts 70 hours of power reserve.
The timeless new wristwatch is available for $160,000. Production is limited to just 25 examples.
