Hollywood execs Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall recently listed their sprawling Telluride, Colorado, ranch estate for sale. The duo is looking for a fellow prospector with $16.9 million to spend on a rustic escape.

Gold Creek Ranch, as it’s called, spans 115 acres. The sensibility can be summed up in one word: simplicity. Or, perhaps, substance. In any case, it provides a stark lifestyle departure from everything L.A.

The pastoral oasis boasts mountains, creeks, and a spring-fed fishing pond. It also boasts five individual structures, although they’re all quite modest; the main residence, a cottage, spans only 2,170 square feet. It welcomes visitors to an open-concept main living space clad with wood beams and a bevy of raw timber and stone accents. Although compact, the kitchen has a large farm sink and space for a small casual dining space. A marvelous spiral staircase leads to the sleeping quarters.

The other structures on the estate include a carriage house, a writer’s cabin, a power shed, and a 1,156-square foot horse barn.

The married producers are known for their collaborative work on hit features “Seabiscuit” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” They co-founded Amblin Entertainment with Steven Spielberg.
