Director Nick Cassavetes is looking to close the notebook on his ownership of an L.A.-area home for $4.8 million.
The Hollywood Hills contemporary spans 4,032 square feet, with four bedrooms, two of which are master suites, among its living spaces. The exterior is defined by the weight and surface of concrete, and the interiors follow suit: they don’t assume, and achieve a kind of transparency, so furnishings and views from the many windows really take center stage: superb framing.
The open-concept floorplan includes a spacious living room that flows seamlessly to the dining space and the kitchen, which is ideal for entertaining; the somewhat clinical space features two large kitchen islands, a pantry, and stainless steel appliances. Walls of stainless steel glass sliders provide pleasing views of the pool, and the city beyond.
Cassavetes’ films include ‘The Other Woman’; if you’re one yourself, Lorrie Moore has a Self Help guidebook for further study. His upcoming projects include the suspenser ‘The Manuscript.’
