Former White House Director of Communications Anthony Scaramucci recently paid $3.05 million for a Long Island mansion.

“The Mooch” and wife Deidre Ball purchased the Manhasset home at a price reduction; the property was first listed last year for $4.15 million. The newly constructed home had been on the market for over a year at the time of the sale to the couple.

The Cape Cod-style home spans 6,200 square feet, and contains six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. The Scaramucci family was likely drawn to the luxurious residence’s blend of traditional and contemporary styling.

Visitors enter to a spacious double-height foyer complete with a beautiful and very traditional staircase. The formal living and dining rooms offer plenty of space for entertaining and impress with accents like coffered ceilings, detailed moldings, a wet bar, and large windows. The open-concept living room is the heart of the home, giving the living style a strong communal feel.

A set of French doors leads outside to a patio and a lush green lawn. The lot isn’t a large one, but it’s very private, with a covered porch that’s ideal for long summer evenings.
