British supermodel David Gandy recently took delivery of a new Jag. That is, a fully restored XK120.

The luxury automaker’s Jaguar Classic division undertook the process of restoring the 1954-built roadster to its former glory…perhaps tossing in a little revisionist idealism in the process. The overhaul took 11 months, and now the sports car looks better than ever. It’s also cleared to participate in the Jaguar Classic Challenge.

A sleek black exterior look with two new aero screens blends beautifully with the saddle-leather interior aesthetic. The custom design is enhanced with woven seats, aluminum seat backs, and a 15-inch steering wheel.

As expected, the iconic vehicle also received quite a transformation under the hood. The completely rebuilt 3.4-liter inline six-cylinder engine now produces 225 hp, up from 180 hp.

Other new components include uprated brakes, a racing-style gearbox, adjustable dampers, and a new exhaust system with dual pipes.

Just in time for warm weather open-top excursions in the Lake District.
