Trey Parker—co-writer/director of the Tony-award winning musical “The Book of Mormon”—is the proud owner of a newly constructed Los Angeles-area residence. Parker dropped $6.2 million on the Brentwood property.

The contemporary home measures 5,332 square feet, and features a  home stands out with plenty of indoor-outdoor living space. The writer was likely drawn to the home’s dramatic living style, and details that include European oak floors, oversized windows in nearly every room, and a unique black-and-white aesthetic. The formal living room is particularly impressive; the blazing white treatment is only interrupted by a massive black stone fireplace. The effect is dynamic.

Further inside, the open-concept space leads to a combination living room and kitchen. The living room features a porcelain slab accent wall which contrasts nicely against the minimalist kitchen, which boasts a large quartz-topped island.

From the living room, an entire wall of retractable glass doors opens to the backyard. The exterior is clearly designed with tranquility in mind: relaxing by the sparkling swimming pool, in the spa, or inside the detached yoga studio should revive nicely when day is done.

Parker is a co-creator of “South Park”; his other musicals include “Cannibal! The Musical,’ a delightfully delirious and tuneful romp through the legend surrounding unconventional 19th-century gourmand Al Packer.
