Following an unsuccessful bid for office, former U.S. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher is leaving his Orange Country district behind.

As a result, Rohrabacher—who severed in Congress for more than three decades—is moving on from his Costa Mesa, California, home, and has put the place up for sale with an asking price of $1.7 million. The politician and his wife Rhonda bought the home for $950,000 in 2012.

Set on a large plot with swathes of lush grass, the traditional cottage dates to the 1950s, and contains three bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The residence boasts several entertaining spaces, including a formal dining room with classic paneling and a brick fireplace.

Buyers will also be drawn to features like custom wainscoting, detailed crown molding, a Dutch door, and distressed hardwood floors. Thanks to a recent remodel, there’s also now a dedicated office and a library, in addition to a spacious living room and an updated kitchen.

The home’s exterior space is limited, but there is a sizable deck for warm-weather recreating.
