Still British to the core, despite ownership by a certain Continental automaking giant, Mini carries on for England’s green and pleasant land. Case in point: the ’60 Years Edition’ Mini, which is proudly decked out in British Racing Green, and even features Union Jack brake lights.
In truth, buyers will be able to select from five paint color options and roof paint in black or white, but there’s something striking about the classic British racing green with a white roof.
Especially with those hood stripes accented with the 60 Years logo. Lovers of the diminutive daily driver will also be drawn to the car’s special-edition styling with ’60 Years’ anniversary logos found throughout the interior and exterior design. Even ’60 Years’ ground projections when opening the doors. Point taken!
The new limited-edition Mini 60 Years Edition vehicle is available as a three-door or a five-door. And features that are typically found in higher-end versions of the Mini come standard in this special edition: how about full front and rear LED lighting, sports seating, and a leather steering wheel for starters.
And, in the U.S., the anniversary edition will extend to the traditional Cooper and the Cooper S, the latter boasting the more powerful 190 HP engine.
