One of the most impressive televisions on display at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show was LG Electronic’s prototype of their 65-inch Signature OLED TV R.
When the TV arrives in the early 2020’s, the OLED R will be the first rollable television to hit the mass market. The screen will neatly retreat into a rectangular base unit when not in use. Other settings include a limited screen that will display vital information: time and date, temperature, and the like.
The base of LG’s next-gen OLED also functions as a soundbar. The housing is minimal and can be set discreetly anywhere in the room; for example, in front of a window without ruining the view.
The Signature OLED TV R is powered by LG’s Alpha 9 processor, so users can expect the utmost in clarity and overall picture quality.
