‘Shark Tank’ Star Robert Herjavec Picks Up Waterfront Home in Newport Beach for $8M

“Shark Tank” host Robert Herjavec has a new waterfront home in Newport Beach to escape to for downtime. The businessman and pitching expert paid $7.95 million for a harbor-view home in the Balboa Peninsula Point community; the 3,550 square-footer is a front-row seat to the beautiful vista of the marina and city beyond.

The four-bed, four-bath house makes a very appealing streetside impression, with competing timber accents suggesting warmth, warmth, warmth. Within, the home is a two-floor affair; downstairs, an open-concept shared living area is defined by natural-finished wood and bright white walls and ceilings. Retractable glass walls open toward the water, a prominent marble fireplace accent wall anchors, and the staircase balustrade adds an industrial-style flourish to the interiors. A family room is squirreled away at the other end of the house.

Upstairs, a top-floor landing features a small gallery that looks down onto the living area. Otherwise, the master suite gets most of the attention; it presents fairly dazzling views of the marina and harbor through a wall of sliding glass windows, and incorporates a sitting area for a sanctuary-like feel. The bath features a soaking tub and blue-and-white tile floor.

There isn’t much room for anything but house on this houselot, however the property does work in a bit of green between home and water. It’s mainly a cosmetic embellishment, setting off the green of the water nicely.

Herjavec’s keen insights on the hard-boiled world of business have been published in three books; the most recent—‘You Don’t Have to Be a Shark: Creating Your Own Success’—suggests there may be more than one way to thrive inside the tank.
