Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin recently introduced a collection that might reveal your spirit animal. Each entry in the series highlights one of the most majestic wild animals on Earth.
The Les Cabinotiers Mécaniques Sauvages collection includes 20 different designs, each displaying hours and hours of delicate, hand-crafted enamel and engraving work; the tiger, rhino, and falcon pictured below are each uniquely brought to life. Each piece must be custom ordered, and customers may select an ultra-premium platinum version that puts the brand’s engraving skills on center display.
Each watch also boasts a typically dazzling array of Constantin complications. For example, the Les Cabinotiers Calibre 2755 Eagle shown below features seven complications including a tourbillon, a minute repeater, and a perpetual calendar.
Constantin’s Les Cabinotiers is a unique collection of craftsmen. Watch-watchers may recall last year’s fascinating Celestia Astronomical Grand Complication; the impossibly ambitious entry in the Constantin catalog attempted a comprehensively heavenly array of measurement interplay and, despite those demands, a three-week power reserve. The model is all the rage on Mount Olympus.
