Former Trump advisor Carla Sands recently accepted an offer of $13.656 million for her Malibu beach house.
Sands—who currently serves as the U.S. ambassador to Denmark—picked up the Los Angeles-area manse with her late husband, Fred Sands, for $12.25 million in 2013. Unfortunately, Sands didn’t see quite the return she’d hoped for; the Broad Beach-area,home was initially listed at $17.995 million.
The Mediterranean-style oceanfront stretches to 7,500 square feet with five bedrooms and five baths. Luxurious accents like imported limestone, hardwood floors, and teak pocketing doors add a bit of complexity to the fairly minimalistic charm. A steel-and-glass staircase brings in a little industrial-influenced flash.
The main living space is a combination living room that flows freely into the kitchen, which is anchored by a large center island. The beachfront home features a massive dining room that’s perfect for entertaining, and can accommodate larger gatherings and dinner parties.
Between the residence and the beach is a charming lawn accented by stepping stones leading to a lounge with a fireplace.
Sands’ main residence, a Bel-Air mansion, is also on the market. That home is asking $33.75 million.
